Programme Director Ms Hadizah Otoro paid a courtesy visit to Mrs Julie Sanda, Director-General of the Plateau State Peace Building Agency, in Jos, Plateau State. During the visit, she presented the INSS 2026 Award of Excellence in recognition of Mrs Sanda’s contribution as a keynote speaker and her commitment to peacebuilding, inclusive governance, and women’s participation in peace and security.

The visit carried the summit’s central message, “Inclusion is Security,” beyond the event hall and into continued engagement with leaders working on peace and community resilience.

Mrs Sanda’s summit contribution highlighted the roles women play in conflict prevention, early-warning systems, community engagement, and peacebuilding. Sustaining these contributions means recognising, supporting, resourcing, and institutionalising women’s leadership.

The Jos engagement provided an opportunity to strengthen the relationship established through INSS 2026 and continue conversations about collaboration, women’s leadership, and safer communities.
